Cold Pack Shipping

Body Butter Shipping Update:

Cold Pack Shipping:

Cold pack shipping is suggested during the Spring/Summer months as certain products are more susceptible to melting during transit. Cold pack shipping is our way to try and prevent your butter from melting.  However, this is not a guarantee that the product will be in it’s normal state once delivered. All orders that qualify for cold pack shipping will automatically ship.

For more information regarding cold pack shipping, please contact us.The items that generally ship with cold packs are body butters because they are receptive to melting during transit. Keep in mind that if the product melts, the appearance may be altered but not the performance of the product.

Our C-Knighton Body Butter has a natural melting point of approximately 80 degrees. We recommend you order and stock up during the cooler seasons.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT MELTING?

Whipped Butters: Place it in the refrigerator. The melting will not affect the quality of the whipped butter as a great moisturiser, but the whipped consistency will change. It will become more like a body balm.

Whipping adds tiny air bubbles (just like whipping cream) that increase the size, lightens the density and changes the texture, making the butter light and fluffy. If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles are collapsed, so the volume is decreased. So although the jar was filled to the top, if the butter melts, there will be less volume in the container.  The container may actually look half full.

WHAT WE'RE DOING TO HELP THE PROBLEM

During hot weather, we do our best to protect our products from melting in transit. We check every product before it's packed for shipping and we add a cold pack to each order. As a result, most products shipped in warm weather arrive without melting. But please understand, there is no way that we can ship products and completely control the high heat temperatures of summer, trucks and mailboxes.

*The quality and healing properties of our products are not affected by melting.**

Stay well!
